Basic & Transitional Studies

English as a Second Language (ESL)

English as a Second Language classes are offered to adults at beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. Classes cost $25 and are offered either online or hybrid, in the morning or evening.

Conversation, pronunciation, reading, writing, and grammar are taught in a combined skills core class with special emphasis on the skills for survival English and employment-related English. Teachers will help students choose specific skills to supplement their core classes.

All of our ESL classes lead students toward college and career readiness. To learn more about our career pathways, visit our I-BEST/Career Training page.
